Oregon Display Piece #01 | Naturally Fungus Stained Wood

This Oregon-shaped display piece was hand crafted from self-foraged wood that has been naturally colored blue/green by the mushroom Chlorociboria, AKA Turquoise Elf Cups. It was created in Oregon, out of wood that grew in Oregon, by a lifelong Oregon native. If you couldn't tell, we're celebrating Oregon with these pieces. 😅

Handmade crafting guarantees that this exact shape is isn't quite like any other, and it will also feature unique variations of green spalting caused by the mushroom that grew on the wood.

This particular Oregon shape features some deep green Chlorociboria on several patches of the outer edges, with some deterioration visible in the corner caused by the fungi as well. Gorgeous green hues highlight the top of the piece, which also shows a black corner, evidence of a previous fire in the forest where the wood was foraged.

The piece is thick, sturdy, and self-standing. It is finished with two layers of natural Watco Danish Oil.
