Elf-Wood Heart Pendant #11 | Naturally Fungus-Stained Wood

This heart-shaped pendant has been hand crafted from foraged wood that has been stained by the mushroom Chlorociboria, AKA Turquoise Elf Cups. The mycelium (roots, for fungi) stain the wood as it grows, in a totally natural process that leaves the wood permanently colored. The pigment produced by these mushrooms is not found anywhere else in the world, adding another unique aspect to these pendants. 

This particular piece features a  deep green splotch and a jagged line running down the center of the heart on one side.

It is hung on a 24" gold-plated stainless steel chain.

Each Chlorociboria Creation comes with a small laminated card explaining the mushroom that colors the wood.
