Naturally Fungus-Stained Wood | Abstract Oregon State

This deeply colored piece is truly one-of-a-kind. Crafted from self-foraged wood that has been naturally stained green by the mushroom that grows on it. 

I cannot tell a lie, this shape was a very happy accident. I was sanding away the bark and unusable bits from a beautiful section of Chlorociboria, and came to a sudden halt when I recognized the state that I live in. 😅

The mushroom-colored wood that this piece is created from was foraged in Northern Oregon, adding a nice local touch to this regional piece.
